Susan joined METRO/RISK, Inc. in 2000, bringing with her over twenty years of experience handling all aspects of commercial insurance accounts. Her extensive expertise in claims management was gained through working in both the legal and insurance industries and she is responsible for directing claims management strategies for METRO/RISK’s larger clients. She also handles major commercial accounts such as FP International, a plastics manufacturer with global exposures, and DCS Collection Services.
Susan Heil’s career began in 1980 when she went to work for Brown Brothers Adjusters of San Francisco. She subsequently worked for a number of large regional insurance brokers and immediately prior to joining METRO/RISK was an account manager for Aon Risk Services.
Susan is currently pursuing her CPCU designation. She enjoys swing and ballroom dancing and is an avid photographer of both landscapes and wildlife. She also enjoys cycling and is involved with AIDS Ride California, a local charitable organization that raises funds for AIDS research through long-distance cycling events. She resides in San Francisco with her husband, Bob.
