Pam Callahan joined the Baltimore office of METRO/RISK in May 1997. She is the account executive for Cytyc Corporation, The National Rifle Association, Descartes Systems Group, The Korean Peninsula Energy Development Organization and Mobile Satellite Ventures and also serves as risk management consultant for Carroll County General Hospital.
Pam began her insurance career at Insurance Company of North America (INA/CIGNA) in 1972, thereafter holding various positions with excess- surplus carriers and commercial insurance agencies in Pennsylvania.
Pam joined the Risk Management department of Alexander and Alexander in Baltimore in 1984 and was elected an Assistant Vice President in 1985. As manager of the risk management and the medical malpractice divisions, she was responsible for numerous accounts, including C. Brewer & Co., Inc., IU International, University of Maryland Medical System, Anne Arundel General Hospital, Kent & Queen Anne's Hospital and a Workers Compensation self - insurance program for The World Bank.
In 1988 Pam became Sales Manager for Chrysler Insurance Company, a direct writer of Automobile Dealerships. With a territory that included Maryland, Washington, D.C., Delaware and West Virginia, she introduced self-insured retention programs and handled the largest Chrysler dealership in the organization.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pam received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and English from LaSalle University. She holds the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation and is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS). She currently resides in Baltimore where she is a member of the Executive Women's Golf Association (EWGA).
