Mike McNulty joined METRO/RISK in 2000, and is responsible for directing West Coast sales efforts for the firm. He oversees the marketing, placement and daily management of a broad range of accounts, working with clients such as FP International, PLC Land, and Christopher Homes.
Mike began his insurance career in 1981 as an underwriter with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. After completing their rigorous three-year training program, Mike joined Johnson and Higgins Insurance Brokers of San Francisco where he had responsibility for both account management and new business development.
Mike later joined Sedgwick James as a Vice President overseeing such major accounts as Cisco Systems and FP International. He was also heavily involved in their M & A group and oversaw the reorganization of such companies as Breuner's and Barker Brother's.
After six years, Mike moved to Calco Insurance Brokers, with the responsibility of enhancing the professional brokerage capabilities of this traditional, family-owned insurance agency. While at Calco, Mike continued to handle many of his prior accounts and developed relationships with local companies such as TCSI, MBH Architects, and Radiance Medical Technologies.
In 1996, Mike joined the San Francisco office of the brokerage firm Arthur J. Gallagher, where he managed six account executives and a business unit of twenty-five accounts. Mike continued to be involved in new business development, acquiring accounts such as PLC Land Company, Christopher Homes, Endologix, BEBE, Foundry Networks and ASK Jeeves! He continues to oversee several of these accounts at METRO/RISK.
A native San Franciscan, Mike attended the University of California at Berkeley. He is involved with the Leukemia Society, the "Winged "O" Foundation and the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. Mike resides in San Francisco with his wife and son.
