Marianne Duffy is one of the founding employees of METRO/RISK. She directs the property marketing efforts of the San Francisco and Baltimore offices and is involved in all new business development activities. She is also the account executive for The State Bar of California, Anshen & Allen, Sayers Financial, Fruit Growers Supply Co., and Prana Investments.

Marianne also developed and manages a program for housing authorities throughout the United States. These authorities work with city and state governments to issue significant bonds, ranging from $25,000,000 up to $100,000,000, to finance low-income housing. In developing this program, Marianne evaluated all of their property, casualty and professional liability exposures to determine their insurance needs, authored a comprehensive policy form, and found an insurance carrier willing to combine all necessary coverages under one policy.

Marianne began her insurance career as a property underwriter with Safeco Insurance Company. She later joined the new business development department of Marsh & McLennan, where she was responsible for the acquisition and management of numerous accounts including Aldrich, Eastman & Waltch, the Oakland Tribune, Marshall Hale Hospital, and Superstructures, the contractor responsible for removal of the Embarcadero Freeway following the Loma Prieta earthquake.

In 1989, Marianne joined Frank B. Hall & Co. of Northern California (later Aon Risk Services) as a Vice President with management responsibility for their new business development department. She was responsible for the acquisition of such accounts as the Grupe Companies and Select Automotive and also designed and implemented the construction wrap-up program for Clorox.

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Marianne received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and pursued MBA studies at the College of Notre Dame in Belmont. She is a Nidan Black Belt, 2nd Degree in the oriental art of Shaolin Ch'uan Fa, and is actively pursuing her third degree. She resides in Redwood City with her husband and son.
